Transitioning from being an expert speed skater to an expert motivational speaker has been an interesting ride over the last 10 years for Steven. He has presented at over 750 conferences and events in 15 countries and still loves it. Steven loves the adrenalin before he goes onstage and that his strategies for success in business and in life are able to inspire and help people.

Bringing up 3 young children and everyday life is not Olympic sized anymore, and boy do I miss it sometimes. I’m the master at getting my kids to eat their breakfast, brush their teeth, get dressed, sunscreen on, brush hair, pack school lunches, get in the car and get to school, but nobody gives me a trophy. Just like with many people in their job and life, the measuring stick can be difficult to define, the rewards are there, sometimes you just have to look a little harder. My kids draw stick figure pictures of me with a big round head and spiky hair and I draw inspiration from them. I share photos and funny stories about my kids in my motivational presentations and comedy sets. This helps me connect with everyone in the audience who has children of their own.
