TRAVELS FROM BRISBANE WITHIN AUSTRALIA & INTERNATIONALLY

Listening to Michael Jeh speak will be a fascinating insight into multicultural Australia on a level that will surprise you at every turn. An Oxford Blue and former first-class cricketer, his journey began when he came to Australia at age 16, as a refugee from Sri Lanka.

Having finished his schooling at Brisbane State High School, he then completed a Commerce degree in Brisbane before heading off to England to pursue a boyhood dream of playing professional cricket. A cricket scholarship to Oxford University where he read Philosophy & Economics started him on a path that fulfilled many of those ambitions, including 12 years as a professional league cricketer and a playing member of MCC (Lords).

Life took a twist again when he met his future wife on a blind date, got married within a few weeks and transitioned from sport into professional life. In his own words poacher turned gamekeeper, he is now a professional educator/speaker, working with clients as diverse as elite sport (Rugby Australia), schools, corporates and even running DV prevention programs in prisons! He is a White Ribbon Ambassador and is a passionate advocate for the role that good men can play in eliminating violence against women. His unique brand extends to his regular adventures in Africa where he is a qualified wildlife ranger/guide – he regularly takes clients on walking safaris which incorporate his charity projects with schools, orphanages and anti-poaching operations. He often uses hair-raising and insightful stories, interacting with dangerous wild animals to entertain and educate his audience on issues that focus on risk-taking and leadership.
